Hotel Riutort , is in Palma de Mallorca , which is a municipality and a Spanish city, capital of the island of Majorca and the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands. It is also home to the judicial district of the province number 3. It is located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, some 13 meters above the sea level. With a population of 422,387 inhabitants and an area of 208.63 km ² (INE 2009) is the largest city of the archipelago and the eighth of Spain in population. Its metropolitan area covers nine localities that reach 509,116 people spread over an area of 1015.88 km ².

was founded with the name Palma by the Roman Consul Metellus Balearicus in 123 BC C. We propose that the current settlement plausibly corresponds with the Roman ruins that are under its old town, although no evidence exists yet.
